BY his own admission, Tom Brennan didn't hit the heights he'd hoped for in 2026 as he fought his way back to full fitness with Ipswich after a pre-season crash in California left him with a broken leg. Now he's confident a move into the Championship with Oxford will reinvigorate his career: "It's a track that I really seem to go good at, a track that I like. It's somewhere that was high on where I'd like to race at. The decision behind it is that I was spending a lot of time practising last season. In Poland, you can practise three or four times a week. But you end up getting yourself into a little bit of a muddle. You can feel like you are fast but going round in circles isn't always the answer. I will still practise in Poland but only half as much. The rest of the time I will be racing in the Championship with Oxford. I think that will keep me sharper. Hopefully I should be able to regain some of the spark that I was missing a bit this year."
