SHEFFIELD have added two more names to their 2026 starting line-up after Chris Holder and Jye Etheridge agreed to new deals at Owlerton.
The 2012 World Champion Holder (pictured) will start his third successive season in Tigers colours, while Etheridge is also retained, joining the Holder brothers Jack and Chris, Anders Rowe, Leon Flint and new Rising Star Luke Killeen. Team manager Simon Stead said: “Everyone knows what Chris is about by now and he’s still a class act. “This year, he’s coming back in on a 6.84 (average) which is an absolute bargain for someone of his quality. He’s brilliant to have around the pits, he gets on well with the rest of the lads and he’s a big team player. “It was a bit of a tough one for ‘Reggie’ (Etheridge) last year because he came in after a good chunk of the season had already gone and at the time he wasn’t 100 per cent fit. “Despite that, we still saw some glimpses of what he’s capable of and it’s his attitude that I like. He’s always wanting to try new things with his set-ups to try and get things to click, he’s not afraid to attack a different racing line, he’s always listening and he always gives it a good go. “I think being in the team from the off will benefit him a lot and being at reserve again gives him a really good platform to build from.”
