SIMON Lambert's career has turned full circle after he was revealed as rider-coach for National Development League King's Lynn.
The 37-year-old, who is currently without a Championship team place but widely expected to be racing at second tier level once again, has accepted the No. 1 race-jacket for the Young Stars. He first raced in the then Conference League for Boston in 2004. Lynn team manager Jason Pipe said: “I’ve known Simon personally now for a good 20 years or just over, and I know how he works and how he likes to help his team-mates in whatever team he has been in over the years. “No pressure has been put on Simon to bring home big points and I’ve told him I need him to give the rest of the riders as much help as he possibly can. “But knowing Simon as the professional rider he is and as a friend, I know he’ll be going all out to score me maximums every meeting! That’s just the way he rolls. “Simon will be the captain of the team, which he will relish doing. Any rider in our team this season is going to gain from Simon’s wealth of experience and I can’t wait until we all get together so they can see what he will bring to the team.”
