THE British Final will take place at Belle Vue in August.
It will be the Aces' 11th consecutive staging of the national final, which has been scheduled for Saturday August 15 (7 pm) at the National Speedway Stadium. Defending champion Robert Lambert lifted the trophy last season after winning an unforgettable final race from Charles Wright, Dan Bewley and Chris Harris. Aces' CEO Mark Lemon said: “Nobody who was here for the meeting last year will ever forget the incredible race which decided the title, and this is the sort of action which our track can generate on a regular basis. “It’s also pleasing to be able to secure a Saturday date for the meeting as I know that was very popular the last time we were able to run at the weekend two years ago.” The August date means that the meeting takes place after the British Grand Prix in Manchester at the beginning of June. The GP wild card and reserve positions will be determined by the SGP commission from nominations put forward by the BSPL board of directors.
