OXFORD promoter Jamie Courtney has confirmed that Cheetahs' BSN Series fixture against Plymouth will go ahead as planned next Wednesday (April 8).
The announcement came in the wake of news that Oxford Stadium's greyhound streaming contract is coming to an end, a move which leaves question marks over the future viability of the venue. Cheetahs boss Courtney said: “I want to confirm that the Oxford Cheetahs will be here next Wednesday evening to start our BSN Series campaign against the Plymouth Gladiators. “Our opening fixture (against a Coventry Select on Wednesday) was a great success and everyone left on a real high. “We have the potential for a great season ahead of us and I will work closely with Kevin (Boothby) and do what is necessary to ensure the future viability of both speedway and Oxford Stadium.”
