BERWICK'S Australian newcomer Reid Battye faces a spell on the sidelines following a heavy crash in last weekend's Knockout Cup tie against Workington at Shielfield Park.
Battye sustained a fractured vertebra in a collision with Comets' Niklas Holm Jakobsen and could be out of action for the next six weeks. Team manager Stewart Dickson said: “Losing Reid is a real blow because big points from reserve make all the difference in these type of situations."
