JONAS Jeppesen is on his way to Northampton to replace the injured Matej Zagar.
The Danish star, who is top of Championship Workington's averages, has been snapped up by the Foxes with Slovenian Zagar sidelined by a broken ankle. Jeppesen is set to make his debut in Thursday's home match against Leicester, which will also mark Niels-Kristian Iversen's first appearance in Northampton colours following his early season crash at King's Lynn. Team manager Chris Adams said: “We wish Matej all the best and a speedy recovery, but with him on the sidelines and already having Niels missing for the first part of the season, we thought it best to get a replacement for the time being. “I’ve known Jonas from last year with my time at Birmingham and I know he’s a good rider and team man. He’s been going well for Workington this year and I’m sure he can do a good job for us here at the Foxes. “With having two of his fellow countrymen in the side and also riding in the same team as Troy Batchelor (at Workington) I’m sure he will have no trouble settling in.”
