BRADY Kurtz moved to the top of the World Championship standings with victory in a stunning final race in Saturday night's Grand Prix in Manchester.
The Australian moved from last to first in an epic battle for the lead with Bartosz Zmarzlik, Michael Jepsen Jensen and Jack Holder before the flag to overhaul Zmarzlik for the series' lead. Kurtz moved onto 65 points for the season with Zmarzlik three behind on 62 and Holder in third on 55. It was Kurtz's first GP win on his home British track having appeared in all four finals so far. He said afterwards: “I have been in all the finals in Manchester now and hadn’t managed to get the win before. I am really happy to get up there. “I learned a lot from Friday’s round. I didn’t feel I was at my best and I didn’t have a lot of speed. I wasn’t making good starts. But we were much, much better on Saturday.
