IPSWICH have dropped Swedish reserve Philip Hellstrom-Bangs and handed his race-jacket to Dane Kevin Juhl Pedersen.
The Witches made the decision after Pedersen made encouraging guest appearances at Northampton and King's Lynn last week. Ipswich owner Richard Coleman said: “With Kevin showing real promise in our meetings last week, we are pleased to give him an opportunity to show what he can do in the Premiership for the rest of the season. “He’s really hungry to test himself at this level; he is making good starts, he’s aggressive in the first corner, and he’s clearly not afraid of battling the big names in this league. “Kevin fitted into the team really well, listening to advice, asking questions and already looks at home with the Witches. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2026 brings for him. “I would like to place on record my thanks to Philip for his efforts this season. He really has not enjoyed the best of fortunes in recent weeks and, coupled with the two-week suspension he served, it has been tough for him to really get going in the Premiership. “For this reason, we would be keen to help him find a spot with a Championship club, where he could get himself back up to speed and show the talent that we all know he has. “I really think Philip is very talented and essentially, he hasn’t been riding enough. At Premiership level, that’s a tough place to be, if you are not getting enough seat time."
