DENMARK have claimed the last spot in the World Cup Final in Warsaw at the end of the month.
The Danes cruised to victory in Friday night's second semi-final in Riga and will join hosts Poland, Australia and first semi-final winners Great Britain at the PGE Narodowy stadium on August 29. After a slow start in which they scored a mere three points from the first four races, Denmark stepped up and totalled 40 points to see off Sweden and Latvia, who tied on 32, with underdogs Norway (15) well adrift in fourth. • Full coverage in next week's Speedway Star – on sale on Thursday.
