ERIK Riss will return to the Oxford team for the Cheetahs' final Cab Direct Championship home fixture of the season against Workington tomorrow (Wednesday).
The German, who has been sidelined for much of the season with an eye problem, has made only one appearance for the club in 2026, but reclaims his place from Edward Kennett for the final home fixture at Cowley. The Oxford management stated: “After a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Erik feels he is back to a level of fitness that allows him to resume his place in the team for the final home meeting of the season for the Cheetahs. It’s great to have Erik back. “We thank Edward Kennett for stepping in during Erik’s absence.”
