PETER Kildemand has announced his retirement from speedway.
The experienced Dane, who first raced in Britain for Workington in 2010, will see out the season with Belle Vue and Berwick and then call time on his long career. Kildemand, who has two Grand Prix victories on his CV, said: “It is a decision I have thought about a lot. Speedway has been a huge part of my life for 33 years and the sport has given me far more than I ever dared to dream. “Therefore, it feels right to stop now, while I can make the decision and say goodbye on my own terms. “I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you fans who have followed me through thick and thin. Your support has meant more than you will ever know.”
